The Question the System programme is an exciting open orientation platform for students where they confidently express their deepest controversial concerns, thoughts, and fear about schooling, and education.
One visible reality in the education system that stakeholders often overlook is that the education system is the only profession whose products are living beings that are psychologically whole in every aspect. And the evil we do with that oversight is that we treat our students like hospital patients who should just take our prescribed medicine without questioning.
When students question, it's a sign of curiosity, critical thinking, and sensitivity to unaddressed issues. They're not just challenging the veracity of schooling and education, they're trying to understand and make sense of things. By questioning, students are analyzing information, evaluating ideas, and seeking clarity. This curiosity-driven behavior is a key driver of learning and growth. Most students' controversial questions or views about schooling and education we often consider irrelevant are part of those things that hinder school's impact on students, causing some students to disengage, drop out, or become nonchalant about learning. So, rather than casting those questions as inconsequential, schools, as educators, should start giving them the necessary attention they deserve. This is where School Way comes in.
We exist to help schools listen to their students' controversial questions; answer their questions beyond the classroom; address their controversial views and beliefs about schooling and education; and help them understand how they can best benefit from schools.
